UBC Environmental Engineering Student Association
New to UBC?
If you're new to UBC, here's some useful information to get started at this rather large and occasionally intimidating school:
-
The Environmental Engineering Clubroom is room 324 in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Building. http://www.maps.ubc.ca/PROD/index_detail.php?locat1=300
-
EESA meetings take place every week in the club room; meeting dates times are set at the beginning of each semester. Look for an email at the beginning of the semester or keep your eye on the club facebook page.
-
The Engineering Undergraduate Society (EUS) runs many fun events and services for engineering students
-
The UBC chapter of Engineers Without borders (EWB) meets weekly

Career and Co-op
If you are in the Environmental Engineering program, you can apply to be in the co-op program in the beginning of your third year (see the co-op website for due dates). Once you are enrolled in co-op, log-on to view meetings, interviews, workshops, and job postings on EngCORE.
If you choose not to join co-op, there are professional development events put on by the Engineering Undergraduate Society throughout the year to help with skills such as networking and writing resumes and cover letters.
APEGBC offers competitions and other services to engineering students.

Club Newsletters
EESA produces four newsletters a semester from September to April. Newsletters cover upcoming and past events, useful information, and whatever fun items we feel like throwing in.
